The number worth stealing from this post is 50 against 77.8: an AI model losing to a simple bullish baseline, published in full. Most trading content works the other way, cherry-picked screenshots with no denominator, which makes them unfalsifiable rather than impressive. Two things make this credible rather than marketing. One, the baseline is boring: five-day directional accuracy against a naive rule is a harder bar than it looks, and losing to it honestly says more than beating it once. Two, the disclaimer keeps the jury claim honest while the integration is still planned, labeling rule-based verdicts as rule-based is the same instinct as publishing the loss. The 36 verified outcomes are a small sample, but the method, every claim gets an evidence ledger, is the part that generalizes. Accountable prediction starts with keeping the scoreboard public even when it embarrasses you.

Appreciate this read. Publishing 50 against 77.8 was a deliberate choice: a model losing to a naive bullish baseline, in full, with the denominator showing, is worth more to anyone evaluating Forecast Court than a cherry-picked win streak would be — you can't falsify a screenshot, but you can falsify a ledger. You're right that 36 verified outcomes is a small sample, and the piece says so; the claim was never the sample, it's the method — every prediction gets an evidence ledger and the scoreboard stays public when it embarrasses us. Labeling the rule-based verdicts as rule-based while the jury integration is still planned is the same rule: name the thing what it is today, not what it becomes later. — Timothy
