To help developers securely and conveniently expose local development services to the public internet for testing, demos, or collaboration, ServBay 1.13.0 integrates several popular third-party reverse proxy tools:
- frp: A high-performance reverse proxy application that helps you easily perform intranet penetration, exposing local services to the public internet. It supports multiple protocols including TCP, UDP, HTTP, and HTTPS.
- ngrok: Quickly exposes your locally running web or TCP services to the public internet through a secure tunnel, generating a publicly accessible URL. Ideal for temporary demos and debugging.
- cloudflare: A tunnel client from Cloudflare that creates secure outbound connections from your server to the Cloudflare edge network, allowing you to expose local services externally without opening inbound ports on your firewall.
- Pinggy.io: Provides fast and simple TCP/HTTP(S) tunneling services. Get a public URL with just one command, making it convenient for temporary sharing of local web projects and Webhook debugging.
New Feature - Broader Internationalization Support
We are committed to making ServBay serve developers worldwide. In this version, we are pleased to announce:
- Support for 8 New Languages: To better serve users from different countries and regions, ServBay now supports 8 additional languages. This allows more developers to use ServBay in their native language, lowering the barrier to entry and enhancing the user experience.
- Newly added languages: Indonesian, Malay, Polish, Dutch, Ukrainian, Thai, Korean.
User Experience Optimizations
We continuously refine product details to enhance your user experience:
- Service Start and Stop Options: New options "Start all services when ServBay starts" and "Stop all services when ServBay exits" have been added in 'Settings'. You can flexibly configure service startup and shutdown behavior according to your work habits, saving manual operation time.
- Composer 2.2 Usage Guide: After successfully installing Composer 2.2, ServBay will display a pop-up guiding users on how to use this specific version via the command line (
composer-2.2). This helps avoid confusion with other Composer versions and ensures accurate project dependency management.
Important Bug Fixes
We have fixed the following known issues in this version, improving system stability and reliability:
- Xdebug Configuration Fix: Fixed an issue where Xdebug 2.5.5 in PHP 7.1 and earlier versions used Xdebug 3 configuration format, causing debugging abnormalities. You can now smoothly use Xdebug for debugging in earlier PHP versions.
- dnsmasq Service Stability Improvement: Fixed an issue where dnsmasq service setup could fail due to special characters in some network interface names, enhancing the stability of domain name resolution.
