Hi guys,
I recently launched AnyGradient, a free browser-based gradient generator:
I started building it because most existing gradient tools felt too limited. They were usually focused on simple two-color CSS gradients, while I wanted something that could handle more complex visuals and produce assets that were actually useful in real projects.
AnyGradient supports:
- OKLCH, HSL and sRGB interpolation
- Display-P3 wide-gamut colors
- linear, radial, conic multi-layer gradients
- configurable noise and texture
- image-to-gradient conversion
- editable ready-made gradient backgrounds
- exports for CSS, Tailwind, React, React Native, SwiftUI, Android, Flutter, Figma, PNG, WebP
The main idea is that you can start with a ready-made gradient, edit it visually, and then export it for the platform you are actually building for.
The project is completely free, and the main tools do not require an account.
A large part of the work was not the editor itself, but making gradients render consistently across browsers, supporting wide-gamut colors, reducing color banding, and finding reliable ways to export complex gradients into different formats.
I am now working on expanding the gradient library, improving image-to-gradient accuracy, and making exports more production-ready.
I would really appreciate feedback from designers and developers:
- Is the editor easy to understand?
- Which export formats are most useful?
- What is missing compared with your current workflow?
- Would you use a library of editable gradients instead of downloading static background images?
Any honest feedback would be helpful. This is still an early project, and I am trying to understand which parts are genuinely valuable before adding more features.
