You receive a 40-page report but only need pages 3–12. Or you have a PDF with cover pages, blank pages, and filler content you want to strip before sharing. You shouldn't need Acrobat Pro for this.
The Remove PDF Pages tool at Ultimate Tools lets you select and delete pages from any PDF in your browser, with no upload and no account needed.
How to Remove PDF Pages
- Open Remove PDF Pages
- Drop your PDF file onto the upload area
- See all pages rendered as thumbnails
- Click to select the pages you want to remove (they highlight)
- Click Remove Selected Pages
- Download your cleaned PDF
The tool shows a live thumbnail grid so you can see exactly which pages you're deleting before confirming.
Selecting Pages to Remove
Click individual thumbnails to select specific pages. Click again to deselect.
Select a range: You can also type a page range (e.g., 1, 5-8, 12) to select multiple pages at once without clicking each one.
Select all / deselect all: Use the bulk selection buttons to quickly select or clear all pages.
The selected pages are highlighted. Everything else stays in the output PDF.
Common Use Cases
Remove cover pages: Reports from consultants often have branding pages at the start that are irrelevant to your use case.
Remove blank pages: Scanned documents frequently insert blank pages between content pages. Delete them before archiving.
Extract a subset: Want pages 5–20 of a 50-page document? Select the pages you want to remove (1–4 and 21–50) and delete them. What remains is your extract.
Remove confidential appendices: Before sharing a contract externally, remove exhibit pages that contain internal pricing or legal terms.
Clean up before printing: Remove filler pages, terms of service pages, or ads that print tools sometimes insert.
What Happens to the Page Numbering?
After removing pages, the remaining pages keep their original content but the PDF is renumbered sequentially starting from 1. If you removed pages 2, 3, and 4 from a 10-page PDF, the result is a 7-page PDF with pages renumbered 1–7.
Privacy: Fully Client-Side
All processing runs in your browser using pdf-lib. The PDF file is never sent to a server.
This is important for:
- Legal contracts with confidential clauses
- Medical or financial PDFs
- Company documents with internal information
Nothing you upload is retained or logged.
