Frontend Challenge Holistic Webdev Submission

What I Built

For the Axero Holistic Webdev: Office Space challenge, I created a modern intranet layout designed to foster collaboration and engagement within an office setting. My goal was to develop an intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive workspace where team members can easily access news, resources, directories, and collaborative spaces. I focused on a clean design with clear navigation, customizable widgets for teams, and sections for announcements, quick links, and document sharing.

Journey

During this challenge, I researched real-world intranet designs and user workflows to understand what makes a digital office space successful. I started by wireframing the layout, emphasizing a dashboard-style homepage with modular widgets for easy customization. I chose a modern tech stack (React, TypeScript, and styled-components) to ensure scalability and maintainability.

Some highlights of my process:

  • Reusable Components: Built modular, accessible components for news feeds, team directories, and shared resources.
  • Responsive Design: Ensured the UI looks great on both desktop and mobile devices.
  • Collaboration Features: Added sections for announcements, quick links, and an employee directory to mimic real office needs.
  • Learning: I deepened my understanding of dashboard layouts, state management in React, and accessibility best practices.

I'm particularly proud of the modular dashboard widgets and the clean, inviting design that feels welcoming and practical. All source code is open and available for others to learn from or contribute to.
