Flashcards not captured? Check these five things

A zero-card import can come from two different stages: capturing the cards from NotebookLM or sending the captured cards to Anki.

Start with capture. Let NotebookLM finish generating the set. Confirm that the current notebook owns the visible cards. If the extension was updated while the page stayed open, refresh the page so the new content scripts load.

Use NotebookBloom 1.1.6 or newer. Version 1.1.5 added support for NotebookLM's Blob iframe and structured card content. Reopen the Cards panel and run Import from notebook again.

Only after the cards appear inside NotebookBloom should you troubleshoot APKG or AnkiConnect. APKG does not require a running local bridge. AnkiConnect does.

The failure-event decline after the parser fix is encouraging, but a troubleshooting guide remains useful for users who learned that the old button returned zero and stopped trying.

Practical checklist

Use a public or non-sensitive notebook for the first test. Verify the output before deleting the intermediate file, and keep the product limitation visible.
