A feature tour is a poor first task. A new user needs one result they can recognize.
For NotebookBloom, the shortest path is a small Anki export. Open a NotebookLM notebook that already contains flashcards. Open NotebookBloom, choose Cards, import the current notebook, and export APKG.
Open the deck in Anki and inspect one card. If the front, back and source are present, the first workflow is complete. The user now knows where the panel lives and what a successful result looks like.
Only then does it make sense to introduce citations, local search, bulk import, folders and saved prompts. Showing every feature before the first result increases reading without increasing confidence.
The 30-day analytics window recorded 195 installation events and 54 first-value users. That is a same-period proxy rather than a cohort conversion rate, but it is enough to make first value the next product priority.
Practical checklist
Use a public or non-sensitive notebook for the first test. Verify the output before deleting the intermediate file, and keep the product limitation visible.
