Directory submission services cost $60 to $499 as a one-time fee in 2026, which works out to roughly $1 to $5 per directory. Price depends mostly on whether a person or a script does the submitting, and how many directories are included.
I run a directory submission service, so I track what the market charges. I checked five services' own pricing pages on 22 October 2026. The market splits into five tiers:
| Tier | One-time price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Do it yourself | $0 | Your own time, 40 to 80 hours for about 100 directories |
| Part-automated | $60 to $140 | 40 to 140+ submissions, automation plus human review |
| Manual starter | About $99 | 30 to 60 directories submitted by hand |
| Manual standard | $169 to $249 | 100 or more hand-submitted directories with a report |
| Premium done-for-you | $299 to $499 | About 100 listings over several weeks, with a Domain Rating guarantee |
- Do it yourself costs nothing but time. It suits founders with more hours than budget.
- Part-automated services are the cheapest paid option. Ask to see the directory list and who reviews each listing.
- Manual starter packages cover the highest-authority platforms first. They suit a first launch on a tight budget.
- Manual standard packages are where most SaaS founders land: a person submits to around 100 platforms at a human pace, and you get proof of each listing.
- Premium packages add longer delivery and guarantees. Check exactly what the guarantee covers before paying the higher price.
Three questions to ask before you pay
- Who actually submits: a person, a script, or both?
- Can I see the directory list before I pay?
- Is it one-time, or a subscription for the same work?
The break-even
A round of 100 directories takes 40 to 80 hours by hand. If an hour of your time is worth more than about $2 to $6, a manual service costs less than doing it yourself. If not, every directory worth using has a free tier.
The vendor-by-vendor comparison, with each service's method and delivery time, is in the original post on List My Site. There's also a free cost calculator for your own numbers.
