How Do You Handle Burnout as a Developer?

Burnout in web development/software engineering is very, very real. I am finding this out as we speak. I work full time as a software engineer for a .Net shop, and I am in the very last month of a full stack web development bootcamp. With my last two projects looming on the horizon, I simply have no motivation to do anything but veg out in my bed watching re-runs of "The Walking Dead" or "Empire." My laptop calls my name, but I just can't bring myself to open it.

I know everyone says, "You need to take some time for your self care." And that's all well and good, but what do you do if you are on a timeline? What happens when your deadline is about three weeks away? I would love to meditate to clear my head, but I can't shut my brain off for any length of time. It's like a vicious cycle.

Feeling the burnout

Have any of you ever encountered these feelings? Is there something you, personally, do when you are feeling this way? If so, I would LOVE to hear your suggestions!

I like going for walks. The movement gives my body something to do and the fresh air clears my head. It may not necessarily inspire me to hop back on the computer and get things done, but it gives my body and mind some time to re-organize.
