Shop ko Google par kaise dale? A free 2027 guide for small clothing shops

Shop ko Google par kaise dale? Short answer: create a free Google Business Profile for your shop, verify it, and give Google a web page that lists what you sell with prices. That is the whole job. Everything below is the detail, written for a small clothing shop owner who has a phone, a counter and no developer.

I wrote this because "shop ko google par kaise dale" is one of the most common questions shop owners type into Google, and most answers stop at step one. Step one gets you on the map. The steps after it decide whether anyone actually walks in. (I help out with FRQ.)

Why being on Google matters for a clothing shop

People now search before they step out. They type things like "saree shop near me with price" or "kurta shop near me". If your shop is not on Google, you are not in that list, even if you have the best stock in the market. If you are on Google but show no products and no prices, the shop next to you that does show them usually gets the visit.

Step 1: Make a free Google Business Profile

  1. Search "Google Business Profile" and open Google's own page for it.
  2. Sign in with a Google account (make one just for the shop if you can).
  3. Add the shop name exactly as it is written on your board.
  4. Pick a category. For most of us that is "Clothing store", "Saree store" or "Women's clothing store".
  5. Add the address, phone number and opening hours.
  6. Google will ask you to prove you own the shop. The options it gives differ from shop to shop (a short video, a code by phone or email, or a postcard). Follow what it shows you on the screen.

A Business Profile is free. Nobody needs to be paid to "put your shop on Google".

Step 2: Fill the profile like a shop window

An empty profile is like a shutter that is half down. Add:

  • 10 or more clear photos: the board outside, the counter, the racks, and a few best-selling pieces.
  • Your real opening hours, including the weekly off day.
  • A short description: what you sell, for whom, and the price range.
  • Updates when new stock comes in (the profile lets you post short updates).

Step 3: Give Google a page with your products and prices

This is the step most shops skip. Google likes to send people to a page that answers their question, and a shopper's question is usually "do they have it, and how much?"

You have three choices:

  • Your own website. Best if you have time and money for it.
  • A social media page. Better than nothing, but it is hard for Google to read prices from posts.
  • A free shop page on a local marketplace. For example, frq.in's free shop website gives a shop its own address like yourshop.frq.in, a product catalogue and counter billing. Its page says the Starter plan is ₹0 a month and it takes 0% commission (read on 27 Oct 2026). You put that address in the "Website" field of your Google Business Profile.

On frq.in, shoppers can see your items with prices, reserve one free for 48 hours, and then try it and pay at your counter. So a search turns into a walk-in, not a courier parcel.

Google par dukan dikhane ke 3 asaan kadam (jo log bhool jaate hain)

  1. Naam, pata, phone har jagah ek jaisa rakho. Board, Google profile, WhatsApp and your shop page should all show the same name, address and number. Mixed details confuse Google.
  2. Asli customers se review maango. After a happy sale, ask the customer to leave a review. Never buy fake reviews; Google removes them and the profile can suffer.
  3. Daam chhupao mat. Shoppers search "with price". Show a price, or at least a "from ₹…" range, for your main items.

Step 4 (optional, for the techie in the family): add structured data

If you do have your own website, a small block of JSON-LD tells Google exactly what the page is about. A minimal example:

{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "ClothingStore",
  "name": "Your Shop Name",
  "telephone": "+91-00000-00000",
  "openingHours": "Mo-Sa 10:00-21:00",
  "url": "https://yourshop.example"
}
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

I went through the full version, with five common mistakes, in an earlier post on ClothingStore schema.

How long does it take to show on Google?

Honestly, it varies. The profile can show up once it is verified, and Google's own help pages say a new web page can take from a few days to a few weeks to be crawled. Keep adding photos, products and real reviews in the meantime; an active profile does better than one that was made and forgotten.

FAQ

Shop ko Google par dalne ka kitna paisa lagta hai?
Nothing. Google Business Profile is free. A free shop page (for example on frq.in) costs ₹0 on its Starter plan, per its own page on 27 Oct 2026.

Website ke bina Google par shop dikh sakti hai?
Yes. The Business Profile works without a website. But a page with your products and prices helps shoppers decide to visit, so it is worth adding one.

Free listing on Google kaise kare?
Make a Google Business Profile (Step 1 above). That is Google's own free listing for a shop.

Can shoppers reserve my clothes before visiting?
On the frq.in market, yes: a shopper can reserve an item free for 48 hours and then try it and pay at your counter.

(I help out with FRQ.) If you run a small clothing shop and try these steps, tell me in the comments what got stuck. I'll add the answer here.
