AI image generation has evolved rapidly, but anyone who has worked with it knows the pain: text consistency in images remains a huge challenge.
Whether it's typos in poster designs, unwanted artifacts on product labels, or translated text looking messy, traditional re-generation often ruins the original composition.
The Real Problem with Text Editing in Images
When building workflows around modern image generation APIs (like fal.ai), standard diffusion models frequently hallucinate typography. If you just want to fix a single misspelling or change a brand slogan, running a full prompt re-roll can alter the entire background layout.
To solve this efficiently, a practical workflow requires:
- Precise Inpainting & Masking: Isolate the typo zone without touching surrounding graphics.
- Context-Aware Font/Style Blending: Ensure the replacement text matches lighting, perspective, and raster texture.
- Low-Latency Pipelines: Handling uploads, cloud storage, and AI processing smoothly in the browser.
What I Built
To make this seamless without needing heavy software like Photoshop, I built TextRaze — a lightweight tool designed specifically to edit, modify, and replace text in images using AI while keeping the original design intact.
I'd love to hear how other developers and creators handle text fixes in AI images. What does your current pipeline look like?
