Bali Coastal Smart Streetlight Layout for 120 Flush Ø200mm Poles

A 120-unit streetlight package at 28m spacing creates about 3.36km of controlled road frontage. For Bali resort-access roads, port approaches, old-town links, and EV stopover corridors, the relevant form factor is not a highway mast. It is a sealed 10m seamless Ø200mm cylindrical pole with 5mm wall thickness and RAL8011 antique bronze finish, keeping active equipment inside a narrow streetscape envelope.

Engineering Context: Rain, Salt Air, and Mixed Corridor Use

Bali’s operating case is defined by density and exposure. The island covers about 5,780km² and recorded 4.32 million residents in the 2020 census, around 747 people per km². In December 2023, direct foreign tourist arrivals reached 481,646, with Australia representing 25.70% of that month’s visitors. One corridor may need to serve residents, hotels, markets, temples, ports, pedestrians, service vehicles, and night-time tourism flows.

Weather drives the enclosure strategy. Denpasar climate normals show roughly 345mm of January rainfall over 27 rain days, while August is near 25mm. Daily maximum temperatures sit around 29.6-34.4°C through the year. BMKG-based rainfall analysis also indicates about 1,761mm/year in northern Bali and 2,025mm/year in southern Bali, across terrain from 0-3,028m elevation. Those figures justify sealed charging sockets, camera windows, SOS buttons, connectors, solar surfaces, and display interfaces exposed to humidity, UV, splash, and salt-laden coastal air.

System Architecture and Grid Interface

Item Specification Procurement relevance
Corridor quantity 120 units, 28m spacing About 3.36km of frontage
Pole body 10m, Ø200mm, 5mm wall Flush modules in constrained streets
Luminaire 80W, 12,000lm, 4000K COB, PMMA window Road and pedestrian visibility
Solar layer 360° CIGS, 6.5m-9.3m, about 183W No tilted panel brackets
Embedded systems 7kW AC Type 2, 2,400Wh LFP, WiFi 6, SOS, 8MP fisheye Charging, storage, connectivity, monitoring

The electrical design should align with PLN’s Bali distribution context: 20kV medium voltage and 230/400V low-voltage service. The East Java-Bali distribution strengthening scope referenced about 17,000km of distribution lines, plus medium-voltage expansion, low-voltage works, urban trenching, transformers, poles, and customer connections. That makes the 7kW AC Type 2 charger a local LV integration task, not just an accessory on a lighting pole.

For SOLARTODO, the engineering boundary is clear: keep the luminaire, CIGS wrap, EV charger, LFP 2400Wh battery integrated, WiFi 6, SOS, and 8MP fisheye camera inside the Ø200mm cylinder. The configuration fits coastal tourism roads where corrosion control, visual discipline, and maintainable 230/400V tie-ins matter more than tall-mast coverage.
