โšก Brisk โ€” Text-to-Speech Web App ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Convert text into natural-sounding speech in seconds.

๐Ÿ’ก Inspiration

We often come across situations where reading long paragraphs or notes becomes tiring โ€” whether itโ€™s studying, accessibility needs, or multitasking.
Thatโ€™s where Brisk was born โ€” a minimal, fast, and beautiful text-to-speech web app that instantly converts any text into realistic speech.

Our goal was to build something simple, powerful, and accessible to everyone โ€” without complicated installations or expensive APIs

๐Ÿง  How We Built It

Frontend & Backend: Streamlit
โ€” used to build the entire web interface with Python

Speech Engine: gTTS (Google Text-to-Speech)
โ€” used for generating high-quality speech output

Language: Python 3.x

Hosting: Can be deployed easily on platforms like Streamlit Cloud or Render

We combined the simplicity of Streamlit with the power of Googleโ€™s TTS API to create a smooth, responsive, and reliable experience.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Whatโ€™s Next for Brisk

Weโ€™re excited to expand Brisk with:

๐ŸŒ Multilingual support for regional accents

๐ŸŽจ Dark/light theme switching for better UX

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Voice tone and pitch customization

๐Ÿ“ฑ Mobile-responsive design

๐Ÿ’ฌ Integration with PDFs and documents for direct reading aloud
