I turned GitHub into a cinematic developer workspace πŸ‘€

Spent the last few days building Kuro β€” a futuristic GitHub workspace with liquid glass UI, AI-powered tools & gamified developer features.

I wanted GitHub to feel more interactive, immersive & actually fun to use πŸ‘€

Hi,
I like it very much. It gets some softness from the heavies of flat designs. But...

  1. The Black/Green is really hard to read (it might be the resolution or compression)
  2. I would say, don't put glass objects (shaded objects with shadows) on top of glass object. Like the icons and buttons in the 4th screenshot (orange accents) or those violet accents in the the last one.

This looks slick β€” the liquid glass UI especially. Love seeing people reimagine what a dev workspace can feel like instead of just functional πŸ”₯

Thanks dude πŸ˜„πŸ”₯

Yeah, I’m trying to turn GitHub into a more visual AI-powered workspace instead of just another dashboard.

If you get a chance, would love your feedback on:

  • does the UI feel smooth or too heavy?
  • which feature feels most useful?
  • what should I add next β€” better repo analytics, AI agent actions, launch tools, or mobile polish?

Still improving it piece by piece πŸš€

Will do πŸ‘€ Smooth on my end. AI agent actions get my vote for next β€” that's the standout. Nice work.
