Hey everyone π,
Iβm a developer based in China. Over here, Java (especially Spring Boot) is the absolute king of backend development. Itβs the default choice for almost everything, from massive tech giants to traditional enterprises. The talent pool and ecosystem are entirely built around it.
However, browsing global platforms like this one, I notice the conversation is completely different. I see a huge mix of Node.js, Python, Go, Rust, and C#, while Java doesn't seem to get as much of the spotlight among indie hackers and newer startups.
This stark contrast makes me really curious about the global landscape! So I'd love to ask:
- What is your primary backend language/framework right now?
- Why did you choose it over others? (Dev speed, raw performance, ecosystem, etc.)
- What kind of environment are you building for? (Indie project, early-stage startup, or large enterprise?)
Looking forward to hearing about your stacks. Let's discuss! π
