Why I Stopped Pasting Production JSON, JWTs, and PDFs into Random Online Tools (And Built 100+ Client-Side Utilities Instead)

Every developer has done it at least once under a deadline: you grab a messy JSON payload from a production log, an expired JWT token, or a client PDF contract, and paste it into the first "free online converter" that shows up on Google.

Then you open the Network tab in DevTools and realize your payload was just POSTed to an unknown backend server, surrounded by 14 ad-tracker scripts and a paywall asking for $9.99/month just to download a 20MB file.

Over the past few months, I decided to fix this for my own daily workflow by building Super ToolKit — a collection of 100+ free, browser-based developer, PDF, media, and data utilities that run 100% client-side using WebAssembly, the Web Audio API, and HTML5 Canvas.

Zero files ever leave your device. There are no logins, no file size paywalls, and no cloud uploads.

Here is a breakdown of how it works under the hood and the most useful tools you can bookmark right now.

1. Local-First Developer & Debugging Tools

When you are debugging APIs or database queries, sending bearer tokens or schema structures to a third-party server is a security risk. Every utility in our Developer Tools Hub and Text & Code Studio runs strictly inside your browser's V8 memory:

2. Private PDF Document Security (Zero Cloud Uploads)

Most online PDF sites upload your tax forms, NDAs, or invoices to a remote S3 bucket, process them with Ghostscript on a server, and promise to "delete them after 2 hours."

In our PDF & Document Security Suite, every byte is parsed directly inside your browser tab:

3. WebAudio DSP, Video Demuxing & Image Compression

Instead of queuing behind a cloud FFmpeg worker with a 100MB upload cap, our Audio & Video Studio and Image & Graphics Hub use hardware-accelerated browser APIs:

4. Data Wrangling & Everyday Engineering Utilities

For quick data cleanup in our Data & Spreadsheets Hub and Utilities Hub:

How Does Client-Side Processing Compare to Cloud Converters?

If you have ever hit daily conversion limits on legacy cloud tools, we published a full technical benchmark on our Client-Side vs. Cloud Converter Comparison page, along with direct breakdowns if you are looking for a private:

Try It Out (Web, PWA, Chrome Extension & Android)

Everything is live, free, and works offline once installed as a PWA:

If there is a specific developer utility or file format converter you wish existed without ads or server uploads, drop a comment below or submit it on our Feature Request Board — I'm actively shipping new tools every week!
