Darshan Hiranandani | myShakti by Yotta: Transforming AI Accessibility and Security for India

Yotta Data Services, on Tuesday, launched ‘myShakti’, India’s first fully sovereign B2C generative AI chatbot, built on the DeepSeek open-source AI model. The data storage hosted by the chatbot function runs exclusively within Indian server domains to provide complete security services and maintain user privacy. According to LinkedIn announcements myShakti utilizes Yotta NM1 data centre's server infrastructure that contains 16 nodes of H100 GPUs with a total of 128 H100s.

The chairman of Yotta Data Services Darshan Hiranandani stated "Yotta's myShakti stands as a response to Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's call for placing DeepSeek within Indian territorial boundaries." The proposed initiative demonstrates our unwavering commitment to developing India as a self-reliant nation for AI requirements.

Yotta implemented aFeedback system which helps myShakti to progress through continuous improvement. The official blog states that this chatbot serves two purposes: it decreases AI adoption expenses and enables both technological and scientific research bodies together with startups to access AI frameworks.

The implementation of DeepSeek has shifted the game by transforming operations. Open-source architecture of DeepSeek combined with its minimal computing needs drives down costs for AI adoption much like how mobile technology transformed India according to Sunil Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Yotta Data Services.

His words suggest that this marks a pivotal AI moment for India to emerge as a world leader in AI development. DeepSeek’s model challenges traditional AI infrastructure reliance by proving that efficiency can rival raw computational power. The training of competitive AI models through reinforcement learning was possible with just $5.6 million spent on older GPUs. India can create AI solutions that suit its specific cultural background and language requirements and protect data control through this new AI development.

Yotta maintains its dedication to enhance AI capabilities within India. The company intends to maintain ongoing improvements of its capabilities together with the development of domestically controlled solutions for the generative AI field. The January announcement of Project Stargate by US President Donald Trump triggered discussions about Indian construction in the country. Multiple technology experts expressed the urgent need for India to establish its Stargate project.

Abhishek Upperwal explained to AIM how Soket AI Labs operates on building Indian versions of DeepSeek technology during a previous meeting. He confirmed with a yes when asked about development of the innovation. Our model will not have the exact factor allocation as a 671B parameter system at the start yet will serve as a leading design within its capacity range. The AI platform Krutrim operational at Ola delivered DeepSeek models onto its cloud infrastructure as founder Bhavish Aggarwal publicly announced.

The nation of India must avoid falling behind with its AI development. Krutrim has pushed forward the company's quest to build internationally acclaimed AI systems. We have deployed DeepSeek models on live services through our cloud system which operates from Indian data hosting points. He announced through X that his company offered prices at the lowest level across the globe.
