I Used AI as a Personal Data Analyst. It Changed Everything.

The Problem

After losing 50 pounds on a GLP-1, I thought the hard part was over.

It wasn't.

The real challenge was maintenance.

Every morning brought a new number on the scale, but no explanation. Was it sleep? Stress? Recovery? Travel? Alcohol?

I had plenty of data and very little context.

Why Existing Tools Weren't Enough

My weight app tracked weight.

My sleep app tracked sleep.

My fitness app tracked workouts.

None of them answered the question I actually cared about:

Why is this happening?

Using AI as a Personal Data Analyst

So I started experimenting with AI.

I fed it information about my weight, sleep, workouts, recovery, stress, and daily habits and asked it to identify patterns.

Over time, fluctuations that felt random started making sense.

Poor sleep.

Hard workouts.

Travel.

Alcohol.

The scale wasn't random after all.

The Unexpected Outcome

The biggest change wasn't my weight.

It was my mindset.

Once I understood the likely causes behind fluctuations, I stopped reacting emotionally to every number.

I became more focused on trends and less focused on individual data points.

From Creator to Builder

I've spent most of my career as a creator.

This experience introduced me to a new identity: builder.

What started as a personal experiment eventually became the GLP-1 AI Method, a framework designed to help others make sense of the same challenges I was facing.

The most surprising lesson was that AI didn't just help me analyze data.

It lowered the barrier between having an idea and building something useful from it.

The Bigger Lesson

The biggest misconception about AI is that it's mainly about getting answers.

In my experience, it's about helping people ask better questions.

AI didn't replace my judgment, experience, or intuition.

It amplified them.

What's Next

Next week I'm launching the GLP-1 AI Method on Product Hunt.

Regardless of what happens, the biggest takeaway is this: AI helped me turn a personal problem into something that might help other people.
