𝗔𝘇𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗩𝗠𝘀) – 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 | 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗢𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
Are you learning Microsoft Azure or preparing for Azure Administrator (AZ-104) interviews?
Understanding Azure Virtual Machines is essential for anyone working with cloud infrastructure, application hosting, or DevOps.
I've published a detailed, beginner-friendly guide covering Azure Virtual Machines from basic concepts to real-world implementation.
📌 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻:
✅ 𝗔𝘇𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗩𝗠 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 – IaaS, VM architecture, types, sizes, and workload selection
✅ 𝗔𝘇𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗩𝗠 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 – Pay-as-you-go, Reserved Instances, Spot VMs, and cost optimization
✅ 𝗔𝘇𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘀 – OS disks, data disks, temporary disks, HDD, and SSD options
✅ 𝗔𝘇𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 – VNets, subnets, public/private IPs, and Network Security Groups (NSGs)
✅ 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘅 𝗩𝗠 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 – Create an Ubuntu VM, connect using SSH, and configure additional storage
✅ 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗩𝗠 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 – Create Windows Server VMs and connect using Remote Desktop (RDP)
✅ 𝗩𝗠 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲 & 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 – Understand Running, Stopped, and Deallocated states
✅ 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 – Secure remote access and protect cloud resources
✅ 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – Important Azure VM interview questions and answers
💡 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘇𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁:
Stopping a VM inside its operating system does not necessarily stop compute billing.
To stop compute charges, the VM generally needs to be Stopped (Deallocated). Storage and other associated resources may still incur charges.
This is one of the practical concepts every Azure learner should understand!
