Why I Stopped Just Watching Tutorials (And Started Learning C Properly)

When I first started learning C, I was doing what most beginners do.

At that time, it felt like I was learning a lot.

But when I tried to write code on my own, I got stuck.

Even simple programs felt difficult.

What I Realized

The problem was simple:

👉 I was watching more than I was practicing.

I understood things while watching, but I couldn’t apply them.

And honestly, that was frustrating.

What I Changed

I made a small change.

After every topic, I started doing this:

Write code on my own
Make small mistakes
Fix them without copying

Even if it took time, I tried to struggle a bit.

The Difference

Slowly, things started to make sense.

Loops, conditions, variables they became easier.

Not because I watched better tutorials…

👉 But because I actually used them.
