What Impressed Me

HeyGen's latest avatars are remarkably realistic. Lip sync is accurate, gestures look natural, and the uncanny valley effect is minimal. The premium avatars are nearly indistinguishable from real footage at 1080p.
2. Multilingual Support
I translated one English script into Spanish, French, German, and Japanese. HeyGen handled all of them with proper lip sync and natural pronunciation. This alone makes it invaluable for global teams.
3. Speed
From script to finished video in under 10 minutes. For comparison, a traditional talking-head video requires filming, editing, color correction, and audio cleanup — easily 4-6 hours.
4. Custom Avatars
I created a digital twin of myself using a 5-minute video recording. The result was good enough for internal training videos, though not quite ready for customer-facing content.
