Hey Dev.to!
I manage a team of CSMs and Technical Support Engineers. A while back, I realized I consistently felt behind the wheel in conversations with my developers and CTO. Finding the time to sit down and study new technical terminology felt impossible with my schedule.
But I noticed one thing: I always made time to unwind and log into my daily games.
I thought: What if I could fulfill this gap for myself by creating an app I’d actually love to log into every day? An app that teaches technical concepts but feels like a game.
And TechLexicon was born!
Here is a quick look at what I built:
I started planning my Implementation Roadmap and Technical Specs using Claude Pro, and I started coding with Antigravity AI (both just $20/month plans).
Has it been easy? Absolutely not. There have been TONS of learning "mistakes" along this journey, and times I wanted to throw my computer out the window. But I persevered.
💡 My biggest tip for anyone starting out: Create a PLAYBOOK for everything. Seriously, document your workflows. Thank me later! LOL.
I’ve learned so many terms and concepts just from building and testing the app. Now, I’m launching the public beta, and I am excited to see what this app can do to help others in their tech journey. You can check it out at techlexicon.app.
I'd love to hear from you in the comments: What was the most confusing piece of tech jargon you had to learn when you first started? Drop it below and I'll make sure it gets added to the app's flashcards!
