This is my personal experience when I was looking to get hired in Indonesia. As expected, there are plenty tons of job vacancies on jobstreet.com. From senior IT, to front-end developer.

at Company A, they give me a paperwork-shit, to create php hangman game!

at company C, they send me a zip with 7 tasks!
build using c#
build a program using angular
then a python program
into laravel crud with delete confirmation
I bet they did'nt check if laravel 6 changed some methods
Tomorrow I will have a call interview.
I bet he will ask if I could transform their current existing ERP into python, and hope I could send a block of code as a starter program.
I have learned alphasoftware, not any close to expert area! a framework; I explained to them, I guess I was wrong. as they never heard xBasic in their monkey coding journey life.

expert in xBasic doesn't help you buddy,

but yes if some company ask a crud with bulk upload and import to pdf report in 10 minutes. I couldn't speak no more than alphasoftware.
