Hi everyone! I'm excited to be writing my very first post here on DEV. This is actually my first real interaction with the DEV.to platform, and I already love the positive and supportive vibes here. 🎉 DEV is such a fantastic initiative for developers to share and learn together!

About Me

My name is Lucas, I'm 29 years old, and I'm from Brazil (Brazil zil zil 🎉!). I'm a backend developer who mainly works with C# and ASP.NET Core, building robust APIs and services. While backend is my specialty, I also enjoy working with React + TypeScript on the front end to create smooth, interactive web experiences. I guess you could say I like mixing the best of both worlds when I can!

Project Highlights

Some projects I've been working on recently that I'm proud of:

UserAnalysisAPI – Technical Challenge: A RESTful API I built as part of a technical challenge, showcasing my skills in API design and clean coding practices. This project loads a large JSON dataset of users (tens of thousands of records) into memory and provides fast endpoints to analyze that data. Built with ASP.NET Core 8, it emphasizes performance (efficient data processing with LINQ, etc.) and good project structure (dependency injection, clear separation of concerns). It even includes a fun self-evaluation endpoint that checks its own performance stats!

Looking Ahead

I'm currently on the lookout for opportunities to collaborate on meaningful projects, and I'm also seeking a job in the software industry. If there's one thing I love about development, it's that there's always something new to learn and an opportunity to build something useful. I'd love to join a team where I can contribute, grow, and make an impact. Open-source contributions, hackathons, startup ideas — count me in! 🚀
