Hello DEV Community 👋🏽 — I’m Muhsinah!
Okayyy… this is officially my first post on DEV Community. 😭
I’ve been seeing developers share their projects, learning experiences, challenges, and little wins here, and I finally decided to stop watching from the sidelines and introduce myself.
Hi, I’m Muhsinah, an aspiring software developer currently learning and building my way into tech.
My journey started with HTML and CSS, and since then I’ve been exploring JavaScript and learning more about how websites actually work beyond just making them look good.
I’ve built a few projects along the way, including my first portfolio and a developer productivity dashboard called DevTrack.
And now… I’m back to upgrading my portfolio. 👀
Why am I upgrading it?
When I first built my portfolio, I was still very new to development. My main goal was simply to get something working and have somewhere to showcase what I was learning.
But after learning more and building more projects, I started looking at it differently.
I could see things I wanted to improve.
The structure could be better.
The responsiveness could be better.
The project presentation could be better.
And I wanted to add more JavaScript and make it more interactive.
So instead of just leaving the old version there, I decided to rebuild and improve it based on what I know now.
I think one of the interesting things about learning to code is that you eventually reach a point where you can look at something you built months ago and immediately notice things you would change.
That has definitely been happening to me. 😂
What I'm learning right now
At the moment, I’m focusing on strengthening my JavaScript and improving my overall development skills while continuing to build projects.
I’m especially interested in learning how to create things that are not only visually appealing but also functional, responsive, and useful.
I’m still figuring things out, making mistakes, debugging, breaking things, fixing them… and learning a lot in the process. 😭
I’m hoping to use DEV Community as a place to document more of that journey, share the things I build, learn from other developers, and connect with people who are also somewhere along their own tech journey.
So…
Hello DEV Community! 👋🏽
I’m happy to finally be here. 💻
If you're reading this, tell me a little about yourself and what you're currently learning or building. I'd love to connect!
