Bootstrap a Tigris and Next.js project using `create-next-app`

Happy to announce that Next.js now has an officially supported example for bootstrapping your projects using Tigris. Creating a project with Next.js and Tigris is as simple as:

$ npx create-next-app --example with-tigris

Getting started

Next.js allows you to bootstrap Next.js apps using create-next-app
utility.

Install Tigris

• For macOS: brew install tigrisdata/tigris/tigris-cli
• Other operating systems: See installation instructions here

Startup Tigris dev environment

$ tigris dev start

Initialize your Next.js app

Use the official create-next-app utility

$ npx create-next-app --example with-tigris

$ ➔  npx create-next-app --example with-tigris

Inside that directory, you can run several commands:

  npm run dev
    Starts the development server.

  npm run build
    Builds the app for production.

  npm start
    Runs the built app in production mode.

We suggest that you begin by typing:

  cd my-tigris-app
  npm run dev

Run the app

Run the app and see it will automatically create your databases and collections.
