Black Friday 2026 – What's on your wishlist?

Black Friday is about five weeks away, and every year I promise myself I'll stop buying tools on impulse and only pick up the ones I actually need. Every year I end up with at least one license I never open again.

So this year I'm planning ahead and wondering what everyone else has their eye on.

What's on my list:

  • TablePlus. I'm still using the free version, and the tab limit is starting to annoy me.
  • CleanShot X. I take far too many screenshots for docs and bug reports to keep using the built-in tool.
  • Swish. Snapping windows with trackpad gestures looks much nicer than remembering keyboard shortcuts.
  • Raycast Pro. I'd like the AI features and cloud sync now that Raycast has replaced Spotlight for me.
  • ElevenLabs. I've been trying AI voiceovers for demo videos, and the free credits run out fast.
  • Riverside. I want to start recording a few podcasts and screencasts, and the recording quality looks worth paying for.
  • Laracasts. A yearly subscription is usually cheapest around Black Friday, and I want to finally get properly into testing.

A few questions for you:

  1. What tool, course or service are you waiting for Black Friday to buy?
  2. Is there a purchase from last year that paid for itself many times over?
  3. And the opposite: something you bought on sale and never used?
  4. Share your list in the comments. If you know a product that usually runs a good Black Friday deal, mention it too, so the rest of us can plan ahead. 👇

I run blackfridaydeals.dev, where I collect dev tool Black Friday deals each year, so whatever you mention in the comments will probably end up there too. 🙂
