Secure October, Day 5: your private files shouldn't need a friend. A solo user with nobody to message still deserves privacy. VEIL's encrypted vault works from day one — documents, notes, media, sealed on-device with double-layered encryption. Privacy you hold, not one you negotiate. #SecureOctober
Secure October: 31-day series for Cybersecurity Awareness Month. VEIL is E2E encrypted messaging with post-quantum hybrid key agreement (ML-KEM-768 + X25519) — no accounts, no email, no tracking. iOS beta in review with Apple.

A vault that works without contacts is the right default, since most people's most sensitive data is documents, not chats. The hard part with no accounts and on-device keys is recovery: if the phone is lost or reset, the encryption that protects the vault also locks the owner out. How does VEIL handle backup and key recovery without reintroducing a server that can read anything?
