The Body Slows Down but the Dream Still Breathes

You reach to lift something that used to be easy.
Or you stretch, jog, kneel, and your body answers with hesitation.

No injury. No pain. Just a soft realization that something has shifted.
The mind still believes. The body now negotiates.

That moment is subtle but sobering. It has nothing to do with laziness or weakness. It is simply that your internal model of who you are hasn't aged as fast as your physical self.

You are still the person who wants to try. You still feel capable.
But the body reminds you of gravity in new ways.

I wrote about that quiet friction between identity and limitation in a short piece that resonated with others too:
When the Body Quits but the Dream Still Breathes

It is not a motivational piece. It is not even advice.
It is just a quiet naming of something real.

Have you felt this gap lately? Or has it crept in so slowly that you barely noticed?
