⚡️ xAI is rolling out Grok Build — an open-source terminal AI agent written in Rust

Here’s how it works: first it builds a plan, then it can launch up to eight sub-agents in parallel in separate Git worktrees.

✨ The tool works both in interactive mode and in headless mode for CI/CD. And under the hood, the Grok model gives it up to 500,000 tokens of context and a focus on long-running agent tasks.

It’s now also available on the web and in mobile apps: just describe a game, website, or dashboard — and the AI will assemble a prototype that you can then publish on grok.me, push to GitHub, or keep refining via API.

Yep, this is Elon Musk’s answer to Claude Code and Codex — that’s right 😉

Let’s see how Grok Build performs on real-world tasks, but what’s happening in this market right now is exciting. The race among AI giants for our subscriptions continues!

☝️ But it’s important to remember: even the newest/coolest/most popular vibe-coding tools and agent systems don’t work 100% on their own.

Like in all of IT, without strong AI engineers and a well-designed agent system, they quickly start just “eating tokens” without delivering much value for a specific project task or for the business as a whole.

...so if you need to design and launch an agent system to automate your business processes or for personal use, feel free to DM me 😌
