If you're sourcing RJ45 from China, the hard part is vetting, not finding. My checklist:
Certs — ISO9001/14001, RoHS, REACH, CE, UL
Breadth — standard / MagJack / PoE / shielded / waterproof / SPE
In-house test data — return loss, NEXT/FEXT, current rating, IP
Magnetics + connector from one source (chip-to-jack)
OEM/ODM with own tooling, molding, SMT
Quality system + traceability + RMA
Fast samples + layout support
Export track record
Red flags: trading-company front, certs that don't match the entity name, no measured data, inconsistent company details, suspiciously low prices.
