The Tab URL Problem
You've done research across 15 tabs. Now you need to:
- Share these links with a colleague
- Save them as a reading list
- Put them into a document
Your options: open each tab, copy the URL, repeat 15 times — or take a screenshot and type them out manually.
There's a better way.
Copy All Tab URLs
Copy All Tab URLs is a Firefox extension that copies every open tab URL to your clipboard in one click.
Features:
- One-click copy of all URLs
- Formats: plain text, Markdown link list, or CSV
- Option to copy only pinned tabs, or only unpinned
- Works across all windows or just the current one
AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/copy-all-tab-urls/
Output Formats
Plain text — one URL per line:
https://github.com/...
https://docs.python.org/...
https://news.ycombinator.com/...
Markdown — ready to paste into a document or README:
- [GitHub](https://github.com/...)
- [Python Docs](https://docs.python.org/...)
- [Hacker News](https://news.ycombinator.com/...)
CSV — for spreadsheets.
Real Workflows
Research sessions: Finish a deep-dive, copy all URLs to a doc as a bibliography. Faster than bookmarking then exporting.
Sharing: Colleague needs the same context you've built up. Copy, paste, send. No "can you send me those links" back-and-forth.
Session management: Before closing Firefox, copy all tabs to a plain text file as a manual backup. No extension sync required.
Why Not Just Bookmark Them?
Bookmarking is a one-way street. You add things, they accumulate, you search later. Copying all URLs to clipboard is ephemeral — for when you need the list now, not stored forever.
Different workflows for different purposes.
Free Firefox extension. No account needed.
