The Ones Worth Memorizing First
If you learn only a handful:
-
Ctrl+L — focus address bar (faster than clicking)
-
Ctrl+T + Ctrl+W — open and close tabs
-
Ctrl+Shift+T — reopen accidentally closed tab (use this constantly)
-
F9 — Reader View on articles
-
Ctrl+Shift+S — screenshot (faster than OS-level screenshot for browser content)
These five shortcuts alone, used consistently, meaningfully speed up daily browsing. The rest can be learned incrementally as needed.
About Weather & Clock Dashboard
One note on the address bar: Weather & Clock Dashboard includes a search bar on the new tab page. You can also press Ctrl+L after opening a new tab to focus the address bar instead — both work. The new tab search bar is slightly faster if you're already looking at the new tab; Ctrl+L is faster if you're reaching for the keyboard before looking at the screen.
