We've rebranded.
As of 1 October 2026, WhiteDragon-dev is now WhiteDragon Software.
This isn't a pivot, a rewrite, or a new direction. It's a name that finally matches what we've been doing for a while: shipping a small, coherent set of software rather than a loose pile of repositories.
Why the change
The old name served us well when we were just a handful of experiments. But over time the projects grew into something more deliberate — a shared philosophy rather than a collection of one-offs.
WhiteDragon Software makes that explicit. It says we're a software organization, not a single project, and it gives us room to grow without constantly outgrowing the name.
What's changing
- Organization name: WhiteDragon-dev → WhiteDragon Software
- GitHub: Everything now lives at github.com/whitedragon-software
- Branding: Logos, docs, and package metadata will be updated progressively
What's not changing
-
The projects.
relay,daybreak,webcore,whitedragon-authenticator, andwhitedragon-forumare all still active and still being developed. - The licenses. WD-NCL v1.0 and WD-SAL v1.0 remain in effect for existing releases.
- The philosophy. Minimal software for the open web — few dependencies, no build step, small enough to read in full.
Where to find us
Everything has moved to the new organization:

If you've cloned anything, update your remotes. If you've bookmarked anything, update your links. Old URLs will redirect where possible, but it's worth fixing them at your end.
What we're working on
For anyone new here, the current lineup:
| Project | What it is |

daybreak |
A minimal multi-tab desktop browser built on Electron |
webcore |
A chat assistant running entirely on Cloudflare Workers AI, no separate backend |
whitedragon-authenticator |
A local-only TOTP authenticator in a single HTML file |
whitedragon-forum |
Our community space, built on git-forums and GitHub Discussions |
Thanks
To everyone who's used, starred, forked, or filed an issue against any of these projects — thank you. The rebrand doesn't change what we're building, just what we call ourselves while we build it.
See you at the new address.
