Game Development

  1. There are tons of gaming engines(more than javascript frameworks!)- choice depends on
  2. what devs are comfortable with
  3. features offered by each platform

"It is like choosing a stack for general"

  1. Mostly people now use Unity to develop games

  2. Most of framework target android/ios

  3. Process of game dev is not very different from web dev.
You decide on game genre, features, people to handle these devs/QA.

  4. Difference is, games are very UI & performance critical. No one is going to comeback even if functionality is excellent.

  5. Product manager: looks at game holistically - like a product
    Game designer: UI/UX

Based on conversation with a friend who works for a renowned Game company.
