If you want to see yourself in a viral TikTok trend without filming it, there are now several tools that take one photo and make the video. I compared the ones I could check on their own sites on November 7, 2026. I built one of them (Remake the Trend, number 5), so read my ranking with that in mind. I listed them in the order below because that is how many steps each takes, not because one is the winner.
Quick comparison
| Tool | How it works | Price I saw (checked 2026-11-07) | Short version |
|---|---|---|---|
| CapCut templates | Effect template on your own photo or clip | App is free to start; check the app for Pro-only templates | Fast and free, but every result looks like the template |
| Jump on the Trend | Pick a trend, add a selfie, or paste a TikTok | 1 video $6.99 (listed as limited time, $9.90 otherwise); 300 credits $14.99 | Closest to the "pick a trend" idea |
| MakeViral | 405 templates plus ad, photo and slideshow tools | One-time pack $9.99 for 100 credits; Starter $49.99 a month; Pro $199.99 a month | Huge catalog, priced in credits per template |
| Starrd | Scene templates starring you, also photos and songs | Credit packs from $4.99, no subscription | Cinematic scenes, some need up to 5 photos |
| Remake the Trend | Pick a trend, add one photo, see a free preview still, then make the video | Preview free; first video $6.99, then $9.99; 3 videos $14.99; Pro $19.99 a month | Preview before you pay, each trend explained on its own page |
1. CapCut templates
Search a trend name in CapCut's template tab, drop in your photo or clip, export. It is the quickest route and the app is free to start. The trade-off is that you are putting an effect on your own footage, so you still need a good clip, and templates differ in whether they need a Pro plan or leave a watermark. Check what the app asks before you export.
Good for: simple edits you do yourself.
2. Jump on the Trend
You pick a trend such as Can I Ride Dance or Tiny Desk, add a selfie, and it makes the video; you can also paste a TikTok link. On November 7 its site listed 100 credits (one video) at $6.99 marked as a limited-time price, $9.90 otherwise, and 300 credits at $14.99 for about three videos. Credits do not expire and are refundable for 14 days according to the site.
Good for: people who want a single trend video fast.
3. MakeViral
A much bigger catalog (the home page said 405 AI video templates) and more than trends: ads, photos, slideshows and faceless videos share one credit balance. Templates show their own credit cost, for example 152 or 168 credits for single-photo ones and 228 for a two-photo one. A one-time pack is $9.99 for 100 credits, and plans run from $49.99 a month. Failed videos give their credits back.
Good for: people who will make many different kinds of videos, not just one trend.
4. Starrd
Starrd is a studio for videos, photos and songs starring you. Its scene templates can ask for several photos (its Tiny Desk scene asks for five, in a set order). Credit packs start at $4.99, credits never expire, and there is no subscription.
Good for: elaborate scenes where you have the right photos ready.
5. Remake the Trend (my site)
I made Remake the Trend because I wanted to see the result before paying. Every trend has its own page that says where it started and what sound it uses. You add one photo (two for duo trends, a cat or dog for pet trends) and get a free preview still in about 15 seconds, and you can change it up to 3 times. Then the 10-second 9:16 video with sound and no watermark is $6.99 the first time and $9.99 after, 3 videos are $14.99, and Pro is $19.99 a month. There is also a TikTok face swap page for pasting a TikTok link.
Where it falls short: only the preview is free, there is no free video. On generated trends the sound is an original track, not the TikTok one, so you add the trend's audio when you post. It is a small catalog next to MakeViral.
How to choose
- Want free and fast: CapCut.
- Want a catalog and many video types: MakeViral.
- Want elaborate scenes: Starrd.
- Want to check the look first and pay per video: Jump on the Trend or Remake the Trend.
Prices change often, so check each site before you buy. Whatever you use, say that the video is AI-made when you post it, and use photos of yourself or of adults who agreed.
