ZipCheckup makes federal safety data accessible to US homeowners. We pull from 50+ government sources (EPA, FEMA, CDC, Census, USGS) and combine them into free, per-ZIP home safety reports. 278,000 pages covering water quality, lead risk, radon, floods, wildfires, and 12 more verticals. All data is open (CC BY 4.0) and available via API, npm, HuggingFace, and Kaggle. Built by one person, an AI coding tool, and a lot of messy federal CSVs.
