In the last years, microservices have exploded in popularity, and many companies are using them to avoid the limitations of large, monolithic backends.
But today many companies continue to struggle with monolithic frontend codebases.
Micro Frontends come to help!
What are Micro Frontends?
The term Micro Frontends extends the concepts of microservices to the frontend world.
With Micro Frontends we can think about a website or web app as a composition of features which are owned and developed by independent teams.
Each team develop its features independently.
When I say Independently, I mean also using different technology stacks if the teams prefer.
To see a practical example and find out which big companies are already using this architecture, read the full article on Medium 👇

Honest question: Why aren't you just posting the full article here on dev.to and linking back to medium using a canonical url? Lots of folk will start with "this article was originally published on Medium". Instead we're reading part of an article and then have to hop over to medium to finish reading. That kind of defeats the purpose of using dev.to for me.
Very much agreed!

I'm not a paid member on medium. Your article will always be hidden from me. But probably not much of a loss, since it says 2 min read and I'm assuming not much useful content there.
No thanks, don't bring here Medium with its subscribers only regime.
Also Micro-frontends mean you could dowload vue, react, and angular all on one page view.
Aaa Micro Frontends. The next best thing since sliced bread!
I won't waste my time going over to the wasteland that is Medium to read this meatless bone of an article.
here a friendly link for everyone: medium.com/notonlycss/micro-fronte...
Just read it, no meat over there, waste if time
