Scientific observations often begin as scattered notes, photos, measurements, and unanswered questions. I built AI Scientific Journal to bring them together in one place.
Users can organize observations, explore them on a research map, generate Gemini-powered analyses, continue ideas through AI chat, and ask questions about previous entries to uncover relevant evidence from their own journal.
For me, this project was an opportunity to go beyond simply adding AI to an interface. I gained practical experience building a secure, cloud-deployed AI application with Firebase, Firestore, Gemini, retrieval-based search, Docker, and Google Cloud Run.
