I often wonder how well my particular set of skills translate into the real world, especially a world in ruins.
What would you do in the apocalypse, assuming you survived the first wave 😂

Leaving out the fact that it most likely would be a catastrophic world, I'd probably dedicate myself full-time to theater/acting and woodwork (for the record I have very little knowledge about woodwork but it is something I'd love to learn in depth).
Don't wait for the end of the world, get out there and join a class 🙂
I'll get back to my hobbies and the activities I love and establish more relationships with my acquaintances.
This is a fine idea, share the love
It would be nice because there wouldn't be any of those those annoying people that always feel that they have to correct your grammar. Like when using "where" in the title of your thread when you meant "were". That sort of stuff.
I often say that as a dyslexic person on a phone in the south of England, I am afforded a free pass
Anyone using a phone gets a free pass in my opinion. I have all but giving up on them.
I don't think many people fathom the level of destruction and chaos that would ensue if there were no more computers. They are absolutely ubiquitous in the modern world
Ahh but I'm sure with enough space we can invent an internet powered by cogs 😂, yeah I know I know, 99% of us are used to being connected. This is why I like gardening, model trains and Living in the country
I haven't really thought of this. I will just go back to my dance class
No computers?
That's easy, I'd make more computers.
Anyone who's actually interested in what kind of "apocalyptic" level event could destroy all of our computers but leave us alone should look into CMEs (Coronal Mass Ejections) and the Carrington Event (a historic example of an "apocalyptic" level CME hitting Earth).
Quite so, an excellent citation as well
Not accepting a feature without pcs or programming. ..
Always have a spare raspberry pi . Just in case 😂
Could even run with a basic solar panel ..
In a world where Electro Magnetic pulse Zombies rise up and take over and there are no computers because they can't switch on 🙈🙉🙊
For sure I will move to a city that has a beach and sell some ice creams to the tourists, no more IT issues in my life LOL
Ice creams huh, this is wise, everyone likes an ice cream!
My job as a developer is finding solutions to issues and I guess the apocalypse is a pretty tough one, so I'm not out of work soon.
Thats the spirit :D
Bring on the apocalypse. I love testing my problem solving skills.
But seriously, I'd hide and buy time until someone else solves this one.
Perhaps but I think you might be more forthcoming than you let on, out of the 600 or so who viewed this post, you cared to comment, maybe you are braver than you think
I think if computers went away tomorrow, I'd break down and cry because that means no more programming lol.
I'd probably get into website design - with a pencil
Like a magazine?
