I expected meditation to create calmness quickly.
Instead, it mostly revealed how distracted and overstimulated my mind already was.
After about 3 weeks of consistent 10–20 minute sessions, the changes feel subtle:
- fewer impulsive reactions
- slightly better focus
- more awareness of distractions
- less mental clutter some days
Meditation hasn’t “stopped” thoughts.
It’s just making them easier to notice before automatically reacting to them.
