For a long time, I approached physical practice the same way many people approach productivity: more intensity meant more progress.
But after balancing high-intensity training with yoga more consistently, I started noticing that slower practices often had a deeper effect on recovery, focus, and long-term sustainability.
Practices like Hatha and Yin require a different kind of attention. Staying in a posture longer, observing breath patterns, and resisting the urge to constantly “do more” can become surprisingly challenging.
That’s part of what inspired a more specialized Hatha & Yin Yoga TTC approach at Adhiroha in Rishikesh — combining structured physical practice with stillness, mobility, and awareness rather than only intensity-driven progression.
