Model overview

nano-banana-pro is Google's state-of-the-art image generation and editing model. It handles both image creation from text descriptions and transformation of existing images. The model supports multiple images as input (up to 14), making it suitable for complex creative workflows. For similar capabilities, nano-banana provides Google's latest image editing approach, while imagen-3 offers the highest quality text-to-image generation if quality is the priority. If you need faster processing, imagen-3-fast delivers a speed-oriented alternative, and imagen-4-ultra provides an ultra-quality option for demanding projects.

Model inputs and outputs

The model accepts text prompts describing desired images, plus optional input images for reference or transformation. Users can control the aspect ratio, resolution, output format, and safety filtering levels. The system outputs a single image file in either JPG or PNG format, generated according to the specified parameters.
