Model overview

real-esrgan is an image upscaling model maintained by zedge. This model enlarges images while preserving quality and detail. Similar implementations exist across different creators, including real-esrgan with optional face correction by nightmareai, real-esrgan-v2 with AI face correction by juergengunz, and real-esrgan on A100 infrastructure by daanelson. The esrgan model by xinntao offers comparable 4x super-resolution capabilities.

Model inputs and outputs

This model accepts an image file and applies upscaling with optional enhancements. The output is a single enlarged image file. The flexible scaling options allow users to control the degree of enlargement, while face enhancement can be toggled to improve facial features in photographs.

  • Scale: The enlargement factor, ranging from 0 to 10x (default is 4x)
  • Face Enhance: A toggle to apply face-specific enhancement during upscaling (enabled by default)
