ATLOCK — built by one 13-year-old, with no one in his corner
TL;DR: I'm 13. I've built five generations of a Windows security suite — screen lockdown, NTFS-level file guarding, AES-encrypted password vaults, intruder camera capture, and in v5: AES-256-GCM, Argon2id, FIDO2 hardware keys, and anti-tamper state anchors. v4 is live and free right now. v5 is in development. The part I usually don't say out loud
I built this alone. No co-founder, no mentor pinging me on Discord, no team stand-up. Just me, a laptop, and a lot of nights where the house was quiet and the only light was my monitor.
My father told me to focus on getting into IIT first — that until then, "Akhouri Systems" isn't worth anything. His word for what I'm doing was nalayak. Useless. My mother's word for it was joke.
I'm not writing this for sympathy. I'm writing it because I think a lot of people building things alone — at 13 or 30 — know exactly what that silence feels like when the people closest to you don't see it yet. I kept building anyway. Not to prove them wrong exactly. Just because I couldn't stop.
So here's what came out of it.
What ATLOCK actually is
ATLOCK is Akhouri Systems' flagship security suite for Windows — a single, self-contained tool that does what usually takes four separate apps:
🔒 Lockdown
System-level screen lock with countdown timers and OS hardening — for real focus sessions, not the honor-system kind.
🛡️ File Guard
Locks files at the NTFS ACL level — not a password prompt you can screenshot past, but actual Windows-permission-layer protection that makes guarded files genuinely unreadable without unlocking.
🔑 Password Vault
AES-encrypted (Fernet, AES-128-CBC + HMAC) storage for your emails, UPI IDs, and PINs, protected by a master password run through PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 at 200,000 iterations.
📸 Intruder Ops
Get a wrong password once, ATLOCK silently snaps a photo. Get it wrong three or four times, it silently records a 10-second video — straight to your own Pictures/Videos gallery, so you know exactly who tried to get in.
⚙️ Settings
Full control over capture toggles and where your gallery lives — this is your machine, your rules.
All of it wrapped in a gold-on-black, terminal-style UI — because a security tool should feel like a vault, not a toy.

v5 isn't a UI refresh. It's a full rebuild of the cryptographic and anti-tamper core underneath — the kind of hardening you'd expect from a team, not a 13-year-old working solo after homework.
Why I'm telling you this now
Because software doesn't get better from being kept private, and neither do the people who build it. I need people to actually use ATLOCK v4 — break it, find the holes, tell me what's missing — because that feedback is what v5 is being built on.
