If I told you a few months ago that an unknown Windows security tool would approach 500 downloads, you probably wouldn't have believed me.
Honestly...
Neither would I.
Today, ATLOCK is sitting at 200+ downloads.(Total downloads 497)
No investors.
No paid ads.
No marketing agency.
No massive YouTube channel.
Just continuous iteration, community feedback, and countless late nights improving one release after another.
Why Build Another Windows Security Tool?
Because I wasn't trying to compete with every security product.
I was trying to solve problems I felt were often overlooked.
ATLOCK combines multiple local-first security features into one desktop application, including:
✅ NTFS-based file protection
✅ Encrypted password vault
✅ Intruder Ops (webcam photo + video capture)
✅ Desktop lockdown
✅ Local security logging
✅ Portable deployment
Instead of uploading your data somewhere...
ATLOCK keeps everything on your PC.
Building in Public Changed Everything
Some posts received hundreds of views.
Some barely reached ten.
Some days downloads increased.
Other days...
Nothing happened.
But every bug report...
Every GitHub star...
Every suggestion...
Every download...
Made the software a little better.
497 Isn't a Huge Number.
Compared to commercial software?
Not even close.
But for an independent developer building without funding...
497 people deciding,
"I'll give this a try."
means everything.
What's Next?
500 downloads is only the first milestone.
The roadmap is much bigger.
Better security.
Better Windows integration.
Better user experience.
And much more to come.
If you're curious about desktop security or Windows development, I'd genuinely appreciate your thoughts on the project.

Thanks to everyone who's downloaded it, tested it, reported bugs, or simply shared feedback.
Let's build something even bigger. 🚀
