Most MCP demos are too clean to mean much.
So I tested Bifrost on a real local repo with real MCP tools and real file edits.
Same task. Same model. Same 3 MCP clients.
Result:
Code Mode used about 58% fewer tokens and cut latency by about 52% vs classic MCP.
That is when MCP starts to feel less like a demo and more like real infrastructure.
