Hey devs & tech community! π
I recently submitted my open-source project The Digital Lifeline (Ψ§ΩΨ΄Ψ±ΩΨ§Ω Ψ§ΩΨ±ΩΩ Ω) to the global Hack for Humanity 2026 hackathon on Devpost, and it has officially made it to the final stage!
About the Project & Technical Stack
The Digital Lifeline is an off-grid, zero-cost decision-support platform engineered specifically for total communication blackout environments during natural disasters and humanitarian crises:
Ad-Hoc Mesh Simulation: Transmits structured JSON payload packets across field nodes via native Python TCP Sockets without requiring commercial internet.
Offline NLP Engine: Employs a lightweight scikit-learn classifier to categorize unstructured field distress messages and flag urgency levels in real time.
Multi-Modal Spatial Engine: Calculates precise ETAs across Foot, 4x4, and Air Helicopter modes based on terrain and coordinates.
Live Command Center & SitReps: Streamlit dashboard paired with automated daily Situation Report archiving for aid auditing.
