The task here is document preparation: finding clauses, recording questions, and keeping the source beside each one. It does not determine your rights, whether a term is enforceable, or whether you should sign.
What makes a useful clarification question?
A useful question quotes or identifies the clause, names the point you do not understand, and asks for the missing detail. It should not assume that a general explanation applies to your particular agreement or location.
Suppose a draft agreement refers to a separate schedule for building services, but the copy you received does not include that schedule. The useful question is which schedule forms part of the agreement and whether you can receive it.
A preparation sheet could use:

What do you need before starting?
Install OGAD and download a local text model. Save the agreement and any supplied schedules or instructions as local files. Complete installation and model downloads before working without internet.
The saved-document workflow uses the free core app on supported Mac and Windows computers. Release 0.0.54-beta.108 also offers Linux packages as a beta.
Use a PDF with extractable text, DOCX, TXT, or Markdown. A scanned agreement may need a checked text version. Keep the original available to verify numbering, footnotes, signatures, and formatting that text extraction may not preserve.
You can begin with an unsigned copy. Personal details are not required merely to organise questions about the wording, so leave unnecessary information out of a working text copy.
How do you inspect the document locally?
Attach the agreement to a new chat and check the extracted text before asking detailed questions. Start with a section map so you can see whether expected parts of the agreement are missing.
- Choose a downloaded local model in Models > Text.
- Open a new chat and select + > Attach files.
- Attach the agreement and supplied schedules.
- Wait for processing and open the text previews.
- Check the section headings and the passages you want to discuss against the original.
The file extraction path reads document text for the model. It does not verify the completeness of the agreement or provide an authoritative interpretation.
Ask:
List the sections and external documents this agreement refers to. Use the labels present in the source. Mark any referenced schedule or document that is not among the attachments. Do not explain legal rights or infer missing terms.
Check the list yourself. A missed attachment or extraction error can look like a missing schedule.
How do you turn uncertainty into questions?
Work on one topic at a time and ask for the exact source wording. Then state what you need clarified in ordinary language.
Try:
Find passages relevant to this question: [your question]. Quote short relevant text and identify the section label. Separate what is explicitly stated from what remains unclear. Draft a neutral clarification question without deciding the legal effect of the clause.
For the building-services example, the result might identify a reference to a schedule. Your final question could be:
The agreement refers to the building-services schedule in this section. Please provide the version that applies to this agreement and explain where the listed charges are set out.
Review the wording before using it. Do not let the model add an assertion that the charge is valid, invalid, included, or excluded unless you are simply quoting what the source says.
What if two sections seem inconsistent?
Keep both passages and ask for clarification. They may apply to different situations or rely on a definition elsewhere. A language model can help you find the cross-reference, but it should not decide which clause controls your case.
Ask:
Show the two passages side by side. Identify any defined terms or cross-references that could affect how they relate. State the factual question I should ask to understand the difference. Do not resolve the legal interpretation.
Then check the referenced definitions in the original. If the issue affects an important decision, take the relevant passages to a qualified adviser or the appropriate local advice service.
Keep the source and question together. That makes it easier for someone helping you to see the exact issue without reconstructing your whole chat.
How do you handle a long agreement?
Review sections in manageable groups. A model's context must fit the document, instructions, conversation, and answer. A complete preview does not mean one response can cover every clause accurately.
Keep a manual section list and mark which parts you reviewed. Include definitions and referenced sections when asking about a clause. Avoid treating the absence of a model-generated question as proof that a section needs no review.
For repeated lookup, you can create a project and add the files through Projects > Knowledge & settings > Knowledge base > Add files after creating it with New project. Wait for indexing, then open Chats > New chat inside the project.
Project search returns selected passages, so it is a navigation aid rather than a complete review of the agreement.
What should you save after the discussion?
Keep the original version, the clarification list, and any written response with dates. If a revised agreement arrives, identify it clearly and compare the passages that changed.

Download OGAD and review the passage you find most confusing. Save its wording, the source label, and one precise question for clarification.
Keep the model local for processing after setup. Remote models and later sharing have separate data paths. The useful result is being better prepared to ask about the agreement, with the evidence in front of you.
