Finding an email and writing a useful reply are two separate jobs. OGAD (Off Grid AI Desktop) Pro can search connected Gmail for message details and links, then help draft a reply with a local model. The built-in search returns snippets and metadata, so open the original message before relying on it for a detailed answer.

Gmail still needs internet access. Local AI means the selected model runs on your Mac; it does not turn the Gmail service into offline storage.
Connect the account once
The built-in Gmail integration requires your own Google OAuth client. This takes more setup than signing into an ordinary mail app, but you only configure the shared Google client once for Gmail and Calendar.
- Open Integrations and the Gmail setup. Select Set up your Google client.
- Follow the linked Google Cloud steps in the setup panel: create or choose a project, enable Gmail API, configure the consent screen, and create a Web application OAuth client. Add your account as a test user if your app is in testing.
- Use the callback address shown by OGAD:
http://127.0.0.1:33418/callback. - Paste the client ID and secret into OGAD's setup fields, then select Save client. Keep these values out of chat messages.
- Select Connect, complete Google authorization, and check that Gmail appears as connected.
Select a downloaded local text model in Models > Text. In chat options, turn Tools and Connectors on for a request that needs Gmail search.
Find the message, then draft from its full text
Start with a narrow search:
Search Gmail for messages from sam@example.com about the design review from the past month. Show the subject, date, snippet, and message link. Do not send anything.
Use a real sender address. Open the returned Gmail link and read the message. The search tool does not return the full body or attachments. Copy the relevant thread text into chat when the answer depends on details missing from the snippet.
Then ask:
Draft a reply to the pasted thread. Confirm the review date stated in the message, answer each question, and ask for the missing mockups. Use only the supplied facts. Keep the draft under 120 words. Return the text here; do not send it.
Read the result beside the original message. Copy the checked draft into Gmail yourself. The built-in Gmail connector provides search, not an API action that writes or sends this draft.
What should you check?
Verify names, dates, recipients, and commitments. A short search snippet may omit a correction later in the thread. If several results look similar, narrow the Gmail query instead of asking the model to guess which one you mean.
If connection fails, check the account authorization and Gmail API setup. If chat cannot find the service, check the connected account and chat's Connectors control. A service disabled by an administrator may need that administrator's help.
Add calendar context to a scheduling reply
The same saved Google OAuth client can support the separate Google Calendar connection. Enable Google Calendar API in that client's Cloud project, then open Integrations → Google Calendar and connect the intended account. Complete its requested authorization; a connected Gmail account alone does not establish a Calendar connection.
With Calendar connected, you can use Sync recent to bring supported recent and upcoming event records into OGAD. For a live chat question, keep Tools and Connectors enabled and ask for a specific date range:
Check my primary Google Calendar for tomorrow. Show the event times and time zone, then help me draft a reply with possible meeting times. Do not create an event.
The connector reads the primary calendar. It does not establish complete availability across every shared calendar, and it does not create or edit events. Check the source calendar and your other commitments before you offer a time. Date-specific queries should include an explicit date and time zone when there is room for confusion.
Google access and refresh need internet. A local model can prepare the wording, but it does not make the Calendar service work offline. Use this to reduce the repeated work of gathering email and calendar context, then send the checked reply yourself.
Try OGAD with one recent email. Find it through the integration, supply the full text when needed, and use the local model to prepare a reply you can review.
